With experience in project management, construction, sales, economics, research and marketing, Nicola¬†brings a unique variety of skills to the table. Nicola is the Lower Mainland representative on the BC Green Party’s Provincial Council, President of Tri-Cities Pride, chairs the Vancouver Pride Society’s Outreach Committee, owns and operates NES Design & Construction, works as a Project Coordinator, and acts as a weekly political pundit on CBC’s The Early Edition.

During infrequent down-time, Nicola enjoys cross-country skiing (among almost every other snow sport), soccer, biking, parkour, drawing, photography, reading, creating YouTube videos, and renovating her apartment.

Nicola has spent her life in the greater Vancouver area; gaining an understanding of people’s needs, and how those needs have shifted over the years. She has also spent time travelling; learning about how others govern themselves, and how British Columbia, and Canada, are viewed by non-residents. ¬†In a time of uncertainty and dirty politics, Spurling strives to remain positive and lead by example.
